Aneroid Press Monthly
One issue a month, on the second Tuesday
What is on the test, a worked practice question with the reason every option is right or wrong, and anything the FAA has changed. Every issue stays here to read, with no sign-up needed.
Aneroid Press Monthly launches with the October 2026 issue. The May through September issues below were written as a back catalog while the 2027-2028 Edition was being produced, and they carry the same study material we were working from at the time. Nothing here was mailed before October 2026.
The 2027-2028 Edition is here, and so is a test change
The Part 107 2027-2028 Edition is published, and on October 26, 2026, the FAA adds image-based questions that are not in the printed supplement.
Issue 5, September 2026Weather is 5 percent of the test. Learn it anyway.
Weather is only 5 percent of the Part 107 blueprint, about three questions. Why skipping it is a mistake, plus density altitude worked through.
Issue 4, August 2026The rules people actually lose points on
Regulations are 48 percent of the Part 107 test: the 107.51 operating limits, visual line of sight, night rules and flight over people.
Issue 3, July 2026Reading a sectional instead of recognizing one
Airspace is 20 percent of the Part 107 test and most of it is chart reading: boundaries, Class D ceilings, Class C shelves and data blocks.
Issue 2, June 2026Class G is where you will actually be flying
The airspace classes for remote pilots: what each is for, where 107.41 requires ATC authorization and why Class G is the most commonly missed.
Issue 1, May 2026Half the test is one subject
The FAA blueprint effective September 29, 2025, puts 48 percent of the Part 107 test on Regulations alone. How to divide your study time.
