FAA Part 107, Remote Pilot Knowledge Test

Every topic on the test, and the reason behind every answer.

Three printed volumes and an online exam engine organize the stack of FAA handbooks, advisory circulars and chart supplements into a single course for the drone knowledge test, with every point cited so you can check the original. Study it, drill it against the current test blueprint, and nothing on test day will be the first time you have seen it.

1,447 practice questions, each with the reason every answer is right or wrong, plus 3,662 flashcards that resurface whatever you keep missing. Take them under test conditions, or study at your own pace.

The printed volumes

Why there are three, and which one you need first.

Each volume does a single job. The Complete Guide teaches all 38 chapters in depth, the Chart and Figure Supplement holds the fifty plates the test draws its figures from, and the Fast Track compresses the whole test into under 100 pages for the final week.

If you are undecided

Answer three questions and we will name the set that fits.

1. How do you like to study?

2. When is your test?

3. Have you studied aviation before?

We suggest

The Part 107 Library

If you are new to aviation, you will want the full explanation, the chart supplement and the question bank together. The digital editions are ready the moment you order; the printed volumes arrive in about two to three weeks.

Why Aneroid Press

18 FAA references and 2,000 pages, read against the test and put in its order.

18FAA references on the official study list, and you are left to find and sort them yourself
2,000+pages across their current editions, most of them not about drones
2016the date on the FAA's own Remote Pilot Study Guide
1organized course, in the order the test covers it, with every point cited to its source

Reference count from the Remote Pilot Airman Certification Standards, FAA-S-ACS-10B.Page total reflects the current editions of those references, counted September 2026.

The FAA does not tell you which pages matter for your test.We did that work for you.

Beyond a study guide last revised in 2016, the FAA gives applicants a reading list: regulations, advisory circulars, handbooks, the Aeronautical Information Manual and safety alerts, written for different audiences and revised on different schedules. Most of those pages have nothing to do with flying a drone.

We read every document on the list against the test, pulled what the test draws on into one sequence, explained it in plain language and cited each point to its source so you can check it. Your study time goes into learning the material, not hunting for it.

  • Complete. Everything the test covers, from all 18 references, in one place.
  • Organized. Chapters follow the test's knowledge areas in order, with 500 practice questions and a written explanation for every answer.
  • Every miss is routed. Each practice question names the volume, chapter, section and page to reread.
  • Always current. Digital editions update through the year, and a dated source ledger lists every change. Even the FAA's own list falls behind: AC 00-6 Aviation Weather was canceled on December 22, 2022 and replaced by the Aviation Weather Handbook.

Updated for October 26, 2026: the test now includes image-based questions that are not in the testing supplement, such as sectional chart excerpts. Volume Two teaches you to read any sectional, symbol by symbol, instead of memorizing one excerpt. How to read a sectional chart

Built to the blueprint

Study time goes where the points are.

Regulations alone make up almost half the test. Loading and Performance is two percent. Our chapters, practice exams and diagnostics are weighted to match, so an evening of study buys the most points it can.
